Adoption Requirements and Pricing

PLEASE READ:
We only adopt in the state of Ohio and have been rescuing dogs for over 37 years, specializing in dachshunds. We are not a shelter / kennel, so there is no facility you can visit. Our dogs are in private foster homes.
Applicants are required to have a secure, physically fenced-in yard, (not electronic or invisible fence).
If you have a pool, it needs to be separate from the area the dog has access to .
We require a vet reference and a home visit prior to adopting our dogs.
Applicants care to be 25 years of age or older.
We may consider adopting to a family with children over 8 years of age.
Our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppy to 1 yr - $500
1+ yrs to 4 yrs - $450
4+ yrs to 8 yrs - $400
8+ yrs to 12 yrs - $300
Over 12 years - donation
Applications are received through our website only.
Please note: Each dog we receive into the rescue generally costs about $1000 to address their needs. and prepare them for adoption.
